The Yala Peak Climbing Trip is one of the most sought-after peak climbing trips in Nepal. The Yala Peak (5500m) sits within the Langtang Region which spans through Rasuwa and Nuwakot districts.
Embark on a journey that takes you to the ancient monastery of Kyanjin, the antique cheese factory, and especially the summit of the Yala Peak (5500m). From the torturous uphill snowy climbs to the soothing display of the Langtang Mountains, this trip offers them all.
The 15-day Yala Peak Climbing journey begins with an exploration of the major UNESCO World Heritage Sites in the Kathmandu Valley. These destinations include Pashupatinath, Kathmandu Durbar Square, Swayambhunath, and Boudhanath.
Complete your paperwork needed for this trip and then get on a drive from Kathmandu that leads to Syabrubensi. From Syabrubensi, gather your necessities and walk through forested trails to reach Lama Hotel. As you walk along the banks of the Langtang Khola, you’ll reach Ghodatabela. Interact with the locals there and move to the Langtang village.
Make your way to the revered Kyanjin Gompa and learn the myths of Buddhism. Spend a day here to acclimatize and in the meantime, you will visit Langshisha Kharka. Next, we head to the Yala Peak Base Camp by crossing the snowy terrain. From the base camp, we navigate through crevasses and pitfalls to reach the summit of the Yala Peak.
From the summit, you can see the Himalayas like Langtang Lirung (7227m), Ganchempo(6388m), Tserko Ri (4984m), and DorjeLakpa (6966m). After scaling the mountain, we head back to the base camp and then to KyanjinGompa. The descent leads us to Lama Hotel and after walking on the banks of the Langtang Khola, we reach Syabrubensi. The next day, a quick drive will take us to Kathmandu where the trip shall end.
