The 12-day Ruby Valley Trek runs along the vicinity of the Ganesh Himal (7422m). It is called Ruby Valley because the Ganesh Himal has deposits of rubies.
Likewise, it is comparatively an untouched hidden trekking route of Nepal. The region is a harmonious habitat of Tamang, Newar, Brahmin, and Chhetri communities. Similarly, the authentic culture of Tamang and Gurung locals are also enjoyable on the trek.

Arrival at Kathmandu (1300 mt.) and transfer to hotel. Overnight at the hotel.
The journey begins with your arrival at the Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu. Here, our company representative will receive you and take you to the hotel. After you freshen up, you can explore some of the Newari heritage.
Kathmandu to Sybrubensi (1420 mt.) by bus. Driving 7-8 hours .Overnight at guest house.
The day commences with a long drive that leads to Sybrubensi. It is the gateway to the Langtang region treks. The road is a blend of numerous twists and turns and we shall drive through Trishuli Bazar, Ramche Gaon, and Dhunche. The road has numerous steep turns so be careful. Upon arrival in Sybrubensi, head to your lodge.
Sybrubensi to Gatlang (2337 mt.). Walking 5-6 hours. Overnight at tented camp.
The objective for the day is to arrive at Gatlang. The trail goes through narrow corridors and zigzags all the way to the west up to Bahun Danda. Along the way, we shall rest for a while at Chawatar. Gatlang is a traditional Tamang village which still adheres to its old ways. There, you can go to explore the Parvati Kunda as well.
Gatlang to Somdang (3271 mt.). Walking 6-7 hours. Overnight at tented camp.
The trail sees a sudden rise in elevation and we are blessed with surreal views of pine and Rhododendron forests. The trail goes along the Somdang River and we can see ancient mines as well. Navigate through the Chukarma waterfall and find yourself in front of a former zinc mine. We reach Somdang which is a quaint village that sits in the lap of the hills.
Somdang to Tipling (2078 mt.) via Pang Sang-La Pass (3850 mt.). Overnight at tented camp.
We cross Pang Sang Kharka and admire the surreal views of Manaslu (8163m) and Ganesh Himal (7422m). The entire trail is filled with numerous herbal plants. In the past, these herbs were taken to Tibet for trade purposes. We shall cross the amazing Pang Sang Pass (3850m) from where we can catch breathtaking scenery of Manaslu and Ganesh mountain ranges. After crossing the difficult pass, we arrive at Tipling.
Tipling to Shertung (1875 mt.). Walking 5-6 hours. Overnight at tented camp.
The trail crosses the Adha Khola and ascends to reach Sekpa Danda. From here, you descend to Kharsa Gaon and reach Shertung. The Shertung village is mostly inhabited by the Tamang community. In Shertung, you can visit the Chhyamra Danda, Sajyat, and the holy Fyanchyat Monastery. From here, observe the amazing panorama of Ganesh Himal (7422 m) and Lapsang Karpo (7118 m).
Visit Hot Springs and trek to Chalise Gaon (1674 mt.). Walking for 5 hours. Overnight at tented camp.
Today we shall initially head towards Chalise Gaon and from there, we shall take a well-deserved break at Tatopani. Chalise Gaon is a Gurung village whose unique culture and traditions has made it renowned amidst trekkers. Ghatu dance and Dohori is a popular dance here. You can explore the Sri Tinkanya Devi Mandir as well which sits just above Chalise.
Chalise to Jharlang (3000 mt.). Walking 5-6 hours. Overnight at tented camp.
After breakfast, you make your way to Mani Danda from where you can observe the delightful panorama of the Ganesh Himal ranges. Navigate through Deul Danda, Gobre village, and Chhap Danda. Take a short break at Borang village and interact with the Tamang people here. After lunch, head to Lishne before finally arriving at Jharlang. Here, you can stay at a local home-stay for the night.
Jharlang to Phulkharka. Overnight in Phulkharka.
The objective for the day involves heading to Phulkharka. Heading out of Jharlang, the trail takes us through a series of ascents and descents to reach Phulkharka. The people here are ardent followers of Hinduism and Buddhism. From here, we can catch surreal views of the Ganesh and Manaslu Himal ranges.
Ganga Jamuna Waterfall, Local Village visit. Overnight in Phulkharka.
After breakfast, we further explore the Phulkharka village and visit the Ganga Jamuna waterfall. During the month of November, an annual festival is held in Tripura Sundari temple nearby. People visit the temple and offer sacrifices to the Lord. There is a spring nearby the waterfall which is called the Kukur Dhara. After visiting the waterfall, we shall head back to Phulkharka.
Drive to Kathmandu | 8 Hrs. |Farewell Dinner Overnight at hotel.
From Phulkharka, we shall drive back to Kathmandu first thing in the morning. The drive lasts about 8 hours and goes through the Prithvi highway. Upon arrival in Kathmandu, transfer to your hotel and rest. You can explore the heritages in the Kathmandu Valley. Later, you attend a farewell dinner hosted by the company.
Transfer to airport for final departure from Nepal.
Today is your final day in Nepal and make preparations for sightseeing or souvenir shopping. Our representative will drop you off at the Tribhuvan International Airport for your final departure. Goodbye and Thanks!
