Dhampus Peak (6012m) lies to the north-east of the Dhaulagiri massif within the Annapurna Conservation Area. The peak climbing journey runs along the Kali Gandaki River between the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges.
Moreover, the trip also has views of the Dhaulagiri I (8167 m), Tilicho Peak (7134 m), Thorung Peak (6144 m), and other mountains.
Similar to other adventures in Nepal, autumn and spring are the best times for Dhampus Peak Climbing. Although Dhampus is not a technically difficult peak to climb, climbers have to be physically fit to complete the journey.

Highlights of the Trip
The peak climbing trip explores the Gurung villages to the south of the Annapurna range. Similarly, Poonhill is a major highlight of the entire trip. Dhampus peak climbing offers stunning Himalayan views of Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, and Nilgiri mountain ranges. Lastly, the Dhampus Peak (6012m) is itself an attraction on the trip.
Dhampus Peak Climbing Itinerary
The trip begins with a drive to Pokhara from Kathmandu. Another short drive will lead to Nayapul, the starting point of the trek. You will then trek to Ghorepani passing the Magar village of Ulleri. Thereafter, you hike to Poonhill viewpoint where you get splendid views of Annapurna I (8091m), Lamjung Himal (6983m), Machhapuchhre (6997m), and Dhaulagiri range. Then, you will head to Ghasa passing Tatopani along the Kali Gandaki River. The trek continues towards Tukuche from where you trek to the Dhampus Peak Base Camp. In the same way, you head up to the high camp and make a climb to the top of the Dhampus Peak (6012m). The summit of the Dhampus Peak (6012m) welcomes the climbers with great views of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri mountains. Eventually, you’ll return to Jomsom and fly to Pokhara. Ultimately, a drive back to Kathmandu.

Mt. Dhampus Peak Dhambus Peak is situated in the Dhaulagiri region on the northern side of the wildest valley of Nepal (hidden valley) and along with Kaligandaki River flow its bottom. It is an interesting peak for climbers in the North-East of the big Dhaulagiri massif.
