Mardi Himal Trek is a 10-day trek that could be a fantastic alternative to the crowded Poonhill trail, located in Annapurna Region. It also can be completed in 5 days for people who are experienced and physically strong hikers. it is one among the foremost popular off-beaten trekking routes within the shadows of the Annapurna Himalayas.
Thus, it is perfect for travelers searching for isolated trekking trails. The trail goes from one base camp to the other in a very gradual manner while exploring the Annapurna Conservation Area.
The Mardi Himal Trek starts with a drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara. Another drive from Pokhara ends up in the trail-head of the trek at Kande. the actual trek starts here as you head to Low Camp. Theron, the trek continues further north towards Forest Camp.
Next, you ascend to the High Camp i.e. the base Camp reaching the height of 3580m. a diverse set of vegetation covers the whole trekking trails. These forests also shelter a variety of wildlife species. Lastly, you trek to the Upper View Point which is also the highest point of the trek.
The viewpoint offers great vistas of Mt. Fishtail (6997m), Mardi Himal ( 5553m), Annapurna (8091m), and Hiunchuli (6441m). On the return trip, you head to Sidhing village which provides an opportunity to explore the Gurung culture.

Arrival in Kathmandu (1,350m), transfer to Hotel.
The journey begins with your arrival at the Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu. Here, our company representative will receive you and take you to the hotel. After you freshen up, you can explore some of the Newari heritage.
Drive to Pokhara (820m)
The motive for the day is to reach the beautiful Pokhara Valley. Our drive takes us through the Prithvi Highway and we can see amazing views of hills, mountains and the Trishuli River. After arriving in Pokhara, we can boat on the Phewa Lake or even visit the Bat Cave. Spend a lovely evening at Lakeside and taste the local delicacies. Overnight in Pokhara.
Drive to Kande, trek to Forest Camp (2,500m)
From Kande, you need to collect your necessities and legal documents to head towards Kande. It sits in the periphery of Pokhara and is greatly decorated with greenery. We shall begin the trek towards Forest Camp from here. Our trail takes us through the lush rhododendron trees and silent forests. After walking for a while, we shall reach the Forest Camp. Overnight in Forest Camp.
Trek to Low Camp (2,970m)
The trail to Low Camp takes us through the uphill paths and lots of ridges. A low camp is a small group of teahouses right in the middle of the forest. From here, you can see the colossal mountains like Annapurna South (7219m), Machhapuchhre (6997m), Hiunchuli (6441m), and Lamjung Himal (6983m). If you want, you can even visit the Badal Danda. Overnight in Low camp.
Trek to High Camp (3,550m)
The walk from the low camp to the high camp is relatively short and is not much difficult. We shall walk along the shrubby alpine region along stone trails. Along the way, we can witness the Machhapuchhre (6997m) and numerous mountains in the Annapurna range. High camp is a small pasture after the rocky ascent and comprises of a few lodges. Hike up to Upper View Point (4,500m), back to High Camp
The trip for the day sees a rather sharp climb above from the high camp. The trail is pretty uphill so be sure to tread carefully. The Upper View Point is also called the Mardi Himal Base Camp. You can see numerous trekkers and climbers who are on the road to conquer the Mardi Himal (5553m). After spending some time at the base camp, we shall head back to the high camp. Trek to Siding Village (1,750m)
From the high camp, we navigate our way towards the Siding village. We take a different trail from the viewpoint and descend through rhododendron. This small village quietly sits amidst the wilderness of the Annapurna and is mostly inhabited by the Gurung and Tamang people. Learn the way of the locals here and be sure to create some memories. Overnight in Siding village.
Siding Village to Pokhara
The objective for the day is to reach Pokhara. The trail takes us through the forested tracks and deep into the paths with sparse human settlements. The return trek offers a final glimpse of the Himalayas in the Annapurna and Lamjung Himal ranges. After walking for about 4 hours, we shall reach the bustling city of Pokhara. In Pokhara, you can spend your evening at the Lakeside. Overnight in Pokhara.
Drive to Kathmandu
From Pokhara, we shall get on a public vehicle and head back to Kathmandu. The drive takes us approximately 5 hours and it takes us through the serpentine Prithvi highway. After arriving in Kathmandu, head back to your hotel. You can also choose to explore the city and enjoy Newari heritages. Overnight in Kathmandu.
Departure to International Airport
Today is your final day in Nepal and our representative will drop you off at the Tribhuvan International Airport for your final departure. Goodbye and Thanks!
