    All about the Langtang Circuit Trek.

    The Langtang Circuit Trek is a must-do trek in Nepal where the gorgeous mountains in Langtang, Yala, and Ganesh Himal ranges to create a mesmerizing experience. Similarly, the trail goes through lush forests of oak and rhododendron and gives you a chance to spot wildlife aswell.

    The trek also explores the highly revered sites like Kyanjin Gompa and villages of Sherpa and Tamang communities. A delinquent display of jaw-dropping mountains and culture is what makes the Langtang Circuit Trek blissful.

    Your trip commences with your arrival in Kathmandu where you will tour the valley and visit UNESCO World Heritage Sites, namely: Pashupatinath, Swayambhunath, Kathmandu Durbar Square, and Boudhanath. Next, collect your necessities and get on a drive that takes you to Syabrubensi located in Rasuwa District.

    The road from Syabrubensi to Lama Hotel is filled with lush vegetation and diverse wildlife. As you walk on the banks of the Langtang Khola, you’ll reach Ghodatabela, and, after a short ascent, you arrive at Langtang village.

    The next day, the trek takes you to the quaint Buddhist monastery of Kyanjin Gompa. Learn the ascetic lives of the monks there, and later head to Tserko Ri (4984m) to catch a panoramic view of Langtang Lirung (7227m), Langtang II (6596m), Dorje Lakpa (6966m), and Yala Peak (5500m).

    As we learn some Tamang culture in Ngegang, we venture on the road to the major destination of Ganja La Pass (5130m). Once you cross the pass, across the pass lay two Tamang settlements of Dhukpu and Keldang where we shall spend some time. We shall visit the Gekye Gompa where we can learn more about Buddhism.

    The trail reaches its end near Sermathang and after a quick drive to Kakani, we see an increase in the human settlement as we once again enter city life. A short drive leads us to Kathmandu where the trip shall end.

    1. Day 01 Arrival in Kathmandu (1300m)

      Once you arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport of Kathmandu, our company representative will meet you and escort you to your hotel. As there are no scheduled activities today, you can spend the remainder of the day exploring the nearby area. Or, you can just rest in your hotel as a long journey awaits you. Overnight in Kathmandu.

    2. Day 02 Preparation & Full day sightseeing in Kathmandu

      Today is full of trek preparation and sightseeing in Kathmandu Valley. You will fully immerse yourselves in the architecture, religion, tradition, and culture of Nepal, and visit the major UNESCO World Heritage Sites of the valley. These sites will include Pashupatinath Boudhanath, Swayambhunath and Kathmandu Durbar Square. After visiting these sites, you head back to your hotel and meet the guides and porters who will accompany you on the trek.

    3. Day 03 Drive from Kathmandu to Syabrubensi (1503m) |7 Hrs

      Wake up early and get on a private vehicle that will take you all the way to Syabrubensi. The drive is long and shows you a glimpse of landscape, lifestyle, agricultural practices, and villages of Nepal. The drive will take you along Trishuli River all the way, and closer to Syabrubensi you will enter Langtang National Park. Syabrubensi is the gateway of the Langtang region and you can find many trekkers here. Overnight in Syabrubensi.

    4. Day 04 Trek from Syabrubensi to Lama Hotel (2450m) |5-6 Hrs

      The destination for the day is to reach the group of lodges often called the Lama Hotel. Our trail takes us through the dense forest of pine and rhododendron with possible close encounters with animals like langur, Himalayan black bear, and even the red pandas. Walk along the bank of the Langtang Khola before finally arriving at Lama Hotel. Overnight in Lama Hotel.

    5. Day 05 Trek from Lama Hotel to Langtang Village (3430m) ||4-5 Hrs

      From Lama Hotel, we shall make our way to the Langtang village. Our route goes along the Langtang River to arrive at Gumnachowk. The trek continues through green meadows of Ghodatabela where we can witness the glistening sights of the Langtang Mountain Range. After an uphill battle through the trail, we arrive at Langtang village. Overnight in Langtang.

    6. Day 06 Trek to Kyanjin Gompa (3830m) |5-6 Hrs

      Today, we shall hike to the major landmark of Langtang Circuit Trek, the Kyanjin Gompa. The trail provides us a picturesque display of the largest Mani wall (engraved prayer stones) in Nepal and you can see Buddhist prayers inscribed. Passing Mundu on the way, the trail becomes barren as we make way towards Kyanjin Gompa. The Gompa is a great place to learn about the prevailing Buddhist culture in this region.     7. Day 07 Acclimatization/Rest day in Kyanjin

      Today is a day that is solely intended for acclimatization purposes. We won’t do any sort of intense trekking but instead, do some light hiking and resting. We shall head towards Tserko Ri (4984m) and aim to catch either sunset or sunrise. The view of colossal mountains like Langtang Lirung (7227m), Langtang II (6596m), Dorje Lakpa (6966m), Ganesh Himal (7422m) and Yala Peak (5500m) from Tserko Ri is simply stunning. Afterward, we shall head back to the Kyanjin Gompa for an overnight stay.

    8. Day 08 Trek from Kyanjin Gompa to Ngegang (4000m)| 5-6 Hrs

      The trail from Kyanjin Gompa leads us to the small settlement of Ngegang. The road is filled with major uphill and downhill trail with very little vegetation. We shall take a brief stop at Chhana Lake, which stands out in the barren landscape like an oasis. After trekking for 5 hours, we reach Ngegang. It is a village that is mostly inhabited by Tamang people. Overnight in Ngegang.

    9. Day 09 Trek from Ngegang via Ganja-La Pass (5130m) to Keldang (4270m) |6-7 Hrs

      The objective of the day is to cross the difficult Ganja La Pass and reach the small village of Keldang. The pass is blanketed with snow throughout the year and is the reason why many struggle to complete the circuit. The views from the top of the pass offer an enchanting panorama of the Himalayas in Langtang and Dorje Lakpa ranges. After a steep ascent to the pass, we have to head a bit downward to reach the Keldang village. It is another Tamang village high in the hills. Overnight in Keldang.

    10. Day 10 Trek from Keldang to Dhukpu (4040m) |5-6 Hr

      The trail of today sees a drastic decrease in altitude, and little human settlement with little vegetation as well. The trail comprises of many uphill and downhill path and along the way, we can see people loading their stuff in donkeys and yaks. The trek sees little settlement along the way with little vegetation as well. Dhukpu comprises of people of Tamang and Chhetri communities. Overnight in Dhukpu.

    11. Day 11 Trek from Dhukpu to Tarkeghyang (2600m)| 5-6 Hrs

      The trail for the day initially sees a descent, and later we make a steep climb to reach the Yangri Peak. Past Dhukpu, the vegetation starts to become denser and after a short trek, you will begin walking along pine and rhododendron forest to reach Tarkeghyang, a Sherpa village. There is a monastery called Gekye Gompa here. Explore this village more to learn about its prevailing culture. Overnight in Tarkeghyang.

    12. Day 12 Trek from Tarkeghyang to Sermathang (2610m) |5-6 Hrs

      The route from Tarkeghyang to Sermathang will take us through the small settlements of Ghangyul and Chimighyang. Walk amidst colorful landscape and colossal view of the mountain ranges to arrive at Sermathang. A quaint Sherpa village, Sermathang serves as a great site to learn the Sherpa culture and observe some natural landmarks. Overnight in Sermathang.

    13. Day 13 Drive from back Melamchi to Kathmandu (1300m) |4 Hrs

      Today, we shall head back to the Kathmandu. From Sermathang, we shall initially head to Melamchi via Kakani. The road is filled with small monasteries and greenery. We shall have our lunch in Melamchi, and then later get on a bus heading back to Kathmandu. Upon arrival in Kathmandu, you can either rest or explore the city on your own. Overnight in Kathmandu.

    14. Day 14 Free day in Kathmandu|Farewell Dinner

      Today is a free day in the valley before leaving the country. You have the option of either staying in your hotel or further exploring the Kathmandu valley. You can visit the sites like Khokana and Godavari or you can even do some souvenir shopping in Thamel. In the evening, the company will provide you with a farewell dinner. Overnight in Kathmandu.

    15. Day 15 Farewell Departure

      Today is your final day in Nepal and our company representative will drop you off at Tribhuvan International Airport for your scheduled flight home. Goodbye and Thank you for traveling with us. We hope to meet again in the future for other treks and tours around Nepal.
