    The Gupha Pokhari Tour begins with your arrival in Kathmandu followed by a sightseeing tour around the UNESCO world heritage sites around the Kathmandu Valley.

    Meanwhile, you can also feel free to prepare for the trip. On the third day, you will take a scenic flight from Kathmandu to Biratnagar. The fascinating view of the geographical variation of Nepal is pretty surreal. Once at Biratnagar, you will drive towards Basantapur via Damak city.

    The drive will take you through the forested area and river streams. The trail now passes through Chauki and proceeds towards Lamo Pokhari. Along with a sublime view of Mt. Makalu (8463m), you will further continue your walk towards Gupha Pokhari, which is a famous tourist destination with huge diversity in natural flora and fauna.

    If you are lucky, you might encounter some endangered wildlife (red pandas, pangolin) along the way.  Similarly, crossing few settlements like Nundhaki and Chainpur, you will finally reach Tumlingtar from where you will take a flight back to Kathmandu.     1. Day 01 Arrival in Kathmandu (1300m)

      Upon your arrival in Nepal, our representative at the airport will welcome you and immediately transfer you to your respective hotel. As the rest of the day is not scheduled for any other activity, you can explore around the city and observe the Newari heritages. Overnight in Kathmandu.

    2. Day 02 Kathmandu Valley city tours and preparation for upcoming trek

      After the completion of necessary trekking preparation, you will be ready for Kathmandu Valley city tour. Kathmandu is a historical city in itself and thus, there are a number of attractions in the valley.  A local guide will be assigned who will take you to UNESCO World Heritage Sites including Pashupatinath, Swayambhunath, Kathmandu Durbar Square, and Boudhanath. Overnight in Kathmandu.

    3. Day 03 Flight from Kathmandu to Biratnagar (80m) |45 minutes

      Today, you will take a short flight to Biratnagar, a city in the Terai of Nepal. Biratnagar is known as the economic center of the country. The flight to Biratnagar offers a scenic view of the Koshi Tappu Wildlife Reserve along with the large expanse of green forest. The eastern Himalayas will also be visible on the flight. Overnight in Biratnagar.

    4. Day 04 Drive from Biratnagar to Basantapur (2200m) |4-5 Hours

      From Biratnagar, you will start your drive towards Basantapur via Damak city. In the early hours, you will drive past few suspension bridges and villages. The path from Biratnagar to Basantapur is straightforward. Basantapur is known as the gateway to the Taplejung district and Kanchenjunga trek. You can explore the town and its ethnic resemblances after arrival. Overnight in Basantapur.

    5. Day 05 Trek from Basantapur (2200m) to Chauki (2680m)|5-6 Hours

      From Basantapur, you will start your trek towards Chauki. Crossing several farmlands and green forests of rhododendron, you will gradually ascend towards the ancient hamlets and plain lands. The majority of Limbu tribes inhabit this village. You will find numerous cultural houses, age-old tradition, and a unique lifestyle while you explore around Basantapur. Overnight in Chauki.

    6. Day 06 Trek from Chauki (2680m) to Lamo Pokhari (2940m)|5-6 Hours

      Trek to Lamo Pokhari is quite adventurous. You will start your trek crossing the forest of rhododendron and pine. The scenic lakes along the trail to Lamo Pokhari will offer refreshing scenery along the way. A steep climb to the top of the ridge takes you to the small plain valley from where you can enjoy a glorious view of Mt. Makalu (8463m). After a walk of four to five hours, you will finally reach your destination. Overnight in Lamo Pokhari.

    7. Day 07 Trek from Lamo Pokhari (2940m) to Gupha Pokhari (2890m)|6-7 Hours

      On the 7th day, you will continue your trek towards Gupha Pokhari.  In the early hours, the trail passes through the forested area of rhododendron and pine. Moving forward, you will walk past zigzag paths and ascend gradually to the top of the ridge. Along with a stunning view of Himalayas and surroundings, you will reach Gupha Pokhari in no time. Overnight in Gupha Pokhari.

    8. Day 08 Rest day at Gupha Pokhari/ excursion

      Today is the rest day. You will be exploring Gupha Pokhari and the surroundings. Located in Tinjure ridge in the Tinjure, Milke, and Jaljale areas, Gupha Pokhari is a famous tourist destination with huge diversity in natural flora and fauna. The forested ridge divides Tamor and Arun valleys and offers a beautiful view of surroundings and Himalayas from the top of the ridge. Overnight in Gupha Pokhari.

    9. Day 09 Trek from Gupha Pokhari (2890m) to Nundhaki (1900m)|5-6 Hours

      From Gupha Pokhari, you will start your trek towards Nundhaki. The trail passes through the forest of Bamboo and Rhododendron. You can also find small hamlets along the way, which primarily depend upon agriculture and trade for their living. With a small population below 4000, Nundhaki is a beautiful village where you will find a mixed ethnic group. Overnight in Nundhaki.

    10. Day 10 Trek from Nundhaki (1900m) to Chainpur (1600m)|5-6 Hours

      Early in the morning, you will continue your trek towards Chainpur. In the early first hour, you will descend through the forest of pine. As you move forward, you will walk past the suspension bridge over the river and beautiful waterfalls. This place is famous for ‘Karuwa,’ a traditional Nepali water-mug extravagant designs. Overnight in Chainpur.

    11. Day 11 Trek from Chainpur (1600m) to Tumlingtar (510m)|5-6 Hours

      Today is the last day of the trek. After breakfast, you will start your trek towards Basantapur village, which finally proceeds towards Tumlingtar. Along with Sabha River flowing on the edge, the trail follows beautiful rhododendron forest on both sides. Once at Tumlingtar, you will be amazed by the unique culture and tradition of the local inhabitants. Overnight in Tumlingtar.

    12. Day 12 Flight from Tumlingtar to Kathmandu, evening farewell dinner

      On the 12th day, you will take a short flight of 35mins from Tumlingtar to Kathmandu. You will also get to see the picturesque view of Himalayas on the flight to Kathmandu. Once at Kathmandu, you can roam around the Thamel area, buy a souvenir, and enjoy its nightlife. Finally, you will have a farewell dinner back at the hotel where you will stay for the night.

    13. Day 13 Final Departure

      Today is your final day in Nepal. We will drop you off two hours prior to your scheduled flight. You can even share your experience with us on the way to the airport. Goodbye!
