Everest region, named after the highest peak on Earth- the Mt. Everest (8848m), is the most illustrious travel destination in Nepal. It is home to many endangered and rare species of wildlife like Snow Leopard, Musk Deer, Ghoral, Red-billed Chough, and Himalayan Blue Sheep. During spring season the hills are mostly covered with fully blossomed Rhododendron, giving you a sight worth watching. Nonetheless, the major vegetation in the lower alpine zone includes birch, fir, pines, and juniper.
